EBC Pre-Trip Weekend

09:30 -> Met at Jagged Globe HQ. Intro talk and we were separated out into our Trek groups -> EBC Trek, 3 Peaks 3 Passes, Island Peak and others. This weekend was an introduction for a heap of JG’s treks and Climbs. We had a talk about altitude sickness and kit, really useful!

LUNCH

13:30 -> Got the tram, didn’t have cash so had to get a naughty ticket from the tram Manny. It was a really easy walk and roasty toasty hot!

19:00 -> Went back to JG HQ for some authentic Nepalese food, courtesy of the Hungry Buddha. We then watched some photos of previous EBC Treks AMAZING!! Seriously excited now!

EBC Pre-Trip Weekend

09:30 -> Met at Grindleford train station. Walked through the Peak District. It was gorgeous scenery. It was really cool to see some many boulderers and climbers. I felt like I was on an episode of ‘Reel Rock’.

13:00 -> Finished walk and said goodbye to everyone.

It was an awesome weekend. Great to meet everyone and also have all my concerns about altitude, equipment and food addressed. We’ve got a good group!
